As founder and CEO of Approval Payment Solutions, INC., Allan has put his 29 years of industry knowledge to work. His ability to manage referral partners as well as his extraordinary understanding of sales, pricing, risk management, gift card issuing, networks and processors provides him the ability to maintaining the company’s stability and while ensuring growth.
Prior to working at APS, Allan began his career in the industry in 1987 as a sales representative with Union Federal Bank in Evansville, Indiana while still attending the University of Southern Indiana where he graduated in 1988 with a degree in Marketing. Allan was promoted to Manager and later to Assistant Vice President of merchant services and it was during this period that his primary focus became developing a national Independent Sales Organization (ISO) as well as managing the bank’s existing merchant portfolio.
In 1992, Allan joined TemNet Merchant Services, an Atlanta-based Member Service Provider (MSP) as Vice President of Sales and was later promoted to Senior Vice President of Relations. His responsibilities included Referral Bank Partnerships and Chamber of Commerce Development, MSP recruitment, and the organization and development of a Midwest sales force. Six years later, in 1998, Allan founded APS. Since that time Allan has served on the executive advisory board for NPC/Vantiv for 18 years and has been the driving force behind many structural and pricing changes from within this position. He has also served on the advisory board of the Four Horsemen for 1 year.
Allan has spent a bulk of his career teaching others as well, by helping to develop training programs and marketing materials to effectively run partnership programs for large processing companies nationwide. Allan has always been focused on signing partnership and two that he is most proud of is his endorsements from the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association in 2010 and the Indiana Bankers Association in 2014.
